One of my favorite parts about makeup is choosing a lip color. It is something so simple but can totally change your look. Have a smokey eye and want to add extra drama? Adding a red or dark plum shade can really amp it up! Having a more natural day? Who doesn’t love a nude or a pop of red to compliment a fresh face?! The great thing is you could do both and change your lip color throughout the day with the swipe of a napkin and a lipstick tube.
Although for me the possibility of wearing a matte lip totally goes out the window if I have a dry crusty lip situation going on. This is the worst especially in the Fall and Winter months! I have tried a variety of chapsticks and lip balms over the years and I can confidently say that these 3 products are must haves! They permanently live in my purse and on my dresser.
The Laniege Lip Sleeping Mask, Laniege Lip Glowy Balm, and The Lip Scrub by Sarah Happ will leave your lips feeling soft and moisturized. I use the lip sleeping mask nightly before bed. It is lightweight and feels super moisturizing! I also love using this more in the Winter and in cold weather climates. When I go snowboarding my lips tend to get drier than usual so I use the sleeping mask as a substitute for lip balm because my lips need some extra help. Although this is an amazing product, I wish it was more travel friendly like the Lip Glowy Balm. The Lip Glowy Balm in Peach is what I use during the day and never leaves my purse! I love how I can effortlessly apply it to my lips without having to scoop it our of a jar. This product is a tad less moisturizing than the sleeping mask but literally only by a hair! Not only is it moisturizing but it looks almost like a gloss when it’s on and gives the lips a very juicy appearance which I love! It is perfect to wear on natural days or with a full face of makeup.
The Lip Scrub is a newer product to me that I bought in the past couple of months. I was so excited to try the two different flavors and the Lip Slip Gloss in a holiday bundle. Once these run out I will for sure be buying a full jar! There are times when my lips are so dry that moisturizing just isn’t enough. A good lip exfoliation helps the lip sleeping mask and glowy balm really soak into the lips. Sine this is a sugar scrub I find it to not be too abrasive. This is my savior in the Winter months and honestly I don’t know why I didn’t buy a lip scrub sooner!
These products are the perfect addition to your makeup routine. Have you tried any of these products? Also let me know what are some of your favorite lip products, I am always looking to try new products!
