Affordable Sephora Acne Cleanser That Works!

Clear Skin Days by Sephora Clarifying Cleanser & Mask

I love trying new products. Makeup, skin care, new fashion trends I am here for it! I have always loved trying new things and searching for the best of the best. When it comes to skin care I tend to lean towards more expensive products. Since I have acne prone skin I have found that most of the time more affordable products just don’t seem to work for me. They either break me out or do nothing at all. That being said, I don’t want to spend money for no reason. If I am going to spend money on the full size of a product I am going to first see if I can get a sample and look up reviews.

When I saw that this cleanser was $11 I was very surprised and intrigued. It has some of my fav ingredients: Salicylic Acid and Glycolic Acid. These ingredients have done wonders for my skin and at the time I was in the market for a cleanser that had a combination of the two. I was curious to try it as both a cleanser and a face mask so I decided to give it a shot!

First of all, I love that it is a foam cleanser. It makes it great for using on the face or body and really enhances the experience in my opinion. I used this cleanser every night except for days when I was using retinol. I loved how it helped to improve my texture and acne scarring! I tested this product for about two months and never experienced purging or had a negative reaction. However, my skin can tolerate 10-14% concentrations of AHA & BHA. This is one of my lowest concentration chemical exfoliants. It has 2% Salicylic Acid and 2% Glycolic Acid. It was not the results I usually see from say my Honeymoon Glow serum but it still got the job done and helped keep my skin clear.

I always say it is better to start off with a lower concentration and work your way up so if you have been interested in chemical exfoliants this would be a great intro product! Skin care is so personal and when you have acne it can be frustrating to feel that you have tried everything and end up having nothing work. I am a more hesitant to try lines targeted towards acne as they have never worked for me but I highly recommend this cleanser! Plus for $11 why not give it a try?!
