Natural Powders for Oily Skin!

Over the years I have tried a lot and I mean a LOT of powders. I have oily acne prone skin so I am always looking for powders that can provide coverage, help keep my oils at bay, and give a blurring effect to the skin. I’ve never been one to love high end face powders. I had never found one that I felt was worth the money and any better than my favorite Maybelline powder foundations. I started exploring my local Ulta and Sephora and that is where I found these gems! These face powders while not full coverage, provide a blurring but still natural finish to the skin.

The Huda Beauty Easy Bake Baking & Setting Powder has become one of my newest favs. It is finely milled and can be subtle or provide a beautiful bake. It isn’t too heavy however, like most Huda Beauty products it is HEAVILY scented. So far it has not broken me out so that’s a good sign. I am in the shade pound cake and I love how it blurs my pores and brightens up my under eyes. It almost reminds me of a loose version of my favorite Essence Brighten Up Banana powder. The packaging is great for travel and has a net so the powder does not go flying everywhere. Which I appreciate because I am a huge clutz and I am the first one to spill powder everywhere.

The Morphe JH and the JH Face Brushes are my favorite to apply these powders. I use the JH for the pressed powders and the JH to apply the loose setting powder.

These next two face powder are great because of how lightweight they are. The Bite Changemaker Flexible Coverage Pressed Powder and the Laura Mercier Candleglow Sheer Perfecting Powder are perfect to set the face with! For a more matte finish go for Bite Beauty and for a subtle all over glow go for the Laura Mercier. Both of these powder have very little coverage but oddly enough that is what I love about them. I am typically a full coverage girl but recently I have been into a bit more of a lighter look.

The Candlelit Glow powder is a beautiful baked formula and gives your skin a very natural finish. I have oily skin so I try to keep it away from the t-zone because I can start to look overly oily quickly. It is the perfect beach makeup. Pair it with a some bronzer and a cream blush and you will look like a natural lit from with in goddess.

The Changemaker powder is newer to my makeup collection but I continue to be impressed with it! At first it looks like nothing special. Even when you swatch it almost no pigment comes off. Honestly, at first I thought it was going to be an overpriced dud but I was pleasantly surprised. It gives the most beautiful blurred effect to the skin. It is like I Facetuned my face in real life! It feels super lightweight which is great on days when I have a bit more face makeup going on such as cream contour. It makes me look flawless without that icky heavy makeup feeling.

I still haven’t found a full coverage powder foundation better than my drug store faves but when it comes to lightweight natural face powders these take the cake! What are some of your favorite high end face powders?

I use both of the pressed powders in the shade 2
