Whether you struggle with acne or not we have all had to deal with an annoying zit at some point in our lives. Pimples are never fun and even though it’s not true, we can’t help but feel that people are starting at them. So in order to disguise this unwanted friend we break out the concealer. Personally, I have always had issues finding the perfect full coverage concealer for acne. Often times the best full coverage products would feel thick and heavy and the lighter feeling concealers were WAYYY too low coverage. I always wanted something that was full coverage but lightweight and felt like it didn’t clog my pores.
The Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Aquacealer Concealer has become my holy grail and hands down the best concealer for the face! It is said to be a lightweight 12-hour concealing serum with buildable, medium coverage and has skin-soothing benefits. I can’t speak too much on the skin soothing benefits but I will say it is hydrating. The hydrating factor is one of my favorite parts about this concealer because typically when you have a pimple you are likely doing some drying treatments to combat it. Since your skin/ the pimple are already dry adding on a full coverage matte concealer will just emphasize the zit and dryness of the skin. This is counterintuitive as the whole point is to cover up the pesky blemish. This concealer is amazing because it will not cling on to dry patches making it the perfect concealer for all seasons!
The Aquacealer feels so lightweight on the skin! Making it perfect for spot treatments or even all over the face if you wanted to use it as a foundation replacement. Now it states that it is medium coverage but I would argue this is a medium-full coverage concealer. I have used this as a foundation a few times and it looked flawless and gave amazing coverage without that heavy makeup feeling. (Always love a versatile product)
I am head over heels in love with concealer and if it is every discontinued I will need to buy major backups! So far it seems like it is only on Tarte’s website so I am prayingggg that it is still in Sephora stores once things open up!
Have you tried this concealer or do you know of any similar concealers? (Just in case I end up needing a back up plan 🙁 ) Let me know!
